One of the newest initiatives of the Wild & Whimsy Foundation, F.L.I.P. which stands for, Financial Literacy Immersive Program, will undoubtedly become one of our most important initiatives. Set to launch in September 2023 with the support of JP Morgan CHASE, this program will be offered to teens in and young adults transitioning out of foster care.

Creating a financial literacy program specifically tailored for teens and young adults aging out of the foster care system holds immense potential to F.L.I.P the narrative of homelessness, incarceration, and other prevalent outcomes that often result from growing up in foster care. This program aims to equip teens and young adults with essential financial knowledge, skills, and resources that can empower them to build a strong foundation for a stable and prosperous future.

One of the key benefits of this financial literacy program is that it provides practical education on money management, budgeting, saving, and investing. Many young adults transitioning out of foster care may not have had the opportunity to learn about personal finance, leaving them vulnerable to financial instability and potential hardships. By offering targeted financial education, these individuals can develop critical skills to make informed financial decisions, effectively manage their resources, and establish a solid financial footing.
